This was a track I found on an FB Reel. Was mindlessly sliding one to the other one night, and came across someone’s blind listen to the song. I wasn’t really paying attention, but when I saw the listener’s face make the “mind blown” emoji, I knew I had to stop and listen.

Ren’s “Hi Ren” is a really intense look at a guy’s inner struggles, like a raw conversation between him and the darker parts of his mind. The song doesn’t hold back in showing the harsh reality of dealing with mental health problems. It lays it all out there with a lot of clarity. The words get into feelings of self-doubt, constant criticism, and really wanting some peace. It captures how messed up and illogical those negative thoughts can be. This isn’t just a song about mental illness; it feels like you’re actually going through that experience, like you’re right there in his troubled head.
